Hate Posting Every Day? Here’s How I Stay Consistent Without Burning Out Not every entrepreneur wants to play the social media game 24/7, and I get it. After 16 years of posting, I’ve found ways to stay visible without constantly uploading. In this video, I’m sharing my go-to, low-effort, high-impact strategies for staying connected with your audience, even when you’re just not in the mood to post. These are the tricks I use to show up without showing up. Perfect for creators who want to grow without the grind. As someone with a large following, I occasionally post things online that not everyone agrees with. Recently, a few people have attacked me and made rude remarks in the comment sections of some of my posts. These individuals aren't just disagreeing, they're going as far as insulting me and attacking my character. When that happens, I sometimes share a few of those comments on my stories to give my followers a glimpse of what I deal with. But every time I do, I make sure to blur or block out the name of the person who wrote the comment. You might be wondering: Why? Well, I answer that in today's episode. Oftentimes, when I'm in my coaching groups, I hear time and time again that clients are still clutching onto their Plan B, their backup plan, their safety net in case they fail. Well, in today’s video, I’m preaching something different. This video is urging the entrepreneurs who have a safety net to tear it down, and adopt the feeling of having nowhere else to turn, nothing to fall back on, and completely all in on the hopes and dreams for their business. That perceived desperation, that sense of urgency, might actually be one of the best things that can happen to you. I hear it all the time, women saying, ‘It’s too late for me to start,’ or ‘I’m already so behind.’ Especially for those who are later on in their professional career, it can feel like everyone else is miles ahead. But here’s the truth: You are not too late, and you are not behind.  In today’s video, I’m breaking down this mindset trap and sharing why now might actually be the perfect time to start that business or finally make that bold move. Let’s release the pressure and rewrite the rules, on your terms. Important Links: July Sabbatical Website in a Week How to Launch like Taylor Swift How to Get In Front of a New Audience
Christians and ChatGPT… can the two really go together? In this episode, I’m answering a DM from a listener who asked if using ChatGPT is “the devil’s scheme” or if it can actually be okay for business. We’re going to talk about why so many believers feel nervous about AI, the history of Christians being suspicious of new technology (y’all, even the printing press was once called evil!), and how to use wisdom and discernment instead of fear. I’ll share how I personally use ChatGPT in my everyday life and business while still keeping Jesus at the center — because it’s not really about the tool, it’s about the heart behind how we use it. My hope is that this conversation gives you peace, clarity, and the confidence to be both Spirit-led and smart in your business decisions. Firing someone is never easy... but sometimes, it’s necessary. In today’s episode, we’ll talk about the key signs it might be time to fire an employee, whether it’s due to a lack of competency, poor alignment with your company culture, or just that gut feeling that something isn’t working. I’ll also share my own experiences with hiring missteps, the emotional tug-of-war that comes with tough decisions, and how I’ve learned to navigate them as a leader. This episode is here to give you clarity, confidence, and maybe even the permission you need to protect your business and honor your vision. Different entrepreneurs use a variety of marketing strategies to influence your purchasing decisions. For example, business figures like Dave Ramsey often rely on fear-based tactics, encouraging people to avoid debt, stay away from credit cards, and embrace more conservative financial habits. On the other hand, some entrepreneurs take a more aspirational approach, appealing to pleasure, desire, and the promise of a better life. Take Joanna Gaines, for example, her marketing often centers around the emotional payoff of creating a warm, inviting home. Through her products and brand, she sells a vision of comfort, beauty, and personal fulfillment. So, which marketing tactic is more effective, or more beneficial, for you as a consumer? Let’s dive in and explore both sides! Important Links: Save TIME & MONEY by running your biz on a single platform- check out my software, Equipt360
Entrepreneurs often find reasons to delay taking the leap and going all in on their business. One of the most common excuses? Insurance. Insurance can feel like a luxury, especially when you’re only dedicating 10-15 hours a week to building your business. It seems out of reach, and understandably so. But when I went all in, committing 40-50 hours a week to my business, I gave myself a $30,000 raise.  Today, I want to give you a clear understanding of insurance and encourage you to see that it may not be as out of reach as you think. I once heard that guilt makes a terrible business coach, and it stuck with me. Today, I’m diving into the 5 biggest guilt trips we often carry: whether it’s from working too much, resting, or trying to balance home and business life. If you work from home, you know how easily guilt sneaks in. These emotions are real and common, but they don’t have to control you. Today I’m joined by Nell Stortz, my Director of Operations here at Team Allwood. She graciously stepped in and hosted a few episodes while I took a much-needed month-long sabbatical during July. If you caught the last episode, you know that the break was great for my personal life, but today, we’re diving into the business side of things, which turned out being very successful for our team! Nell and I talk about what it looked like behind the scenes, and I open up about how challenging it was to unplug from email, step away from social media, and cut off communication with my team and clients. If you’ve been considering a sabbatical or just need some time away from your business, I hope this episode gives you the encouragement, and maybe a little strategy, to make it happen in your own life. I Took July Off… and Chaos Showed Up Instead I planned to take the entire month of July off, a much-needed break to rest, reset, and return to work feeling renewed. But life had other plans. From my son’s car getting stolen the day before his wedding, to sending my daughter off to Peru and then welcoming her back straight into a 5-day hospital stay… July turned out to be one of the most intense months of my life. If you’re a woman trying to build or grow a business while life keeps throwing curveballs, this episode is for you. You’ll walk away reminded that you’re not alone, and that progress doesn’t require perfection. In today’s episode, Nell gets real about the common lies we often tell ourselves, lies that keep us stuck, making excuses, and ultimately holding our businesses back. If you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels and start seeing real growth, this episode is for you. Relationship advice, how we view money, and even the big one... how many years of our marriage have actually been happy? We dive into all of it! This episode is packed with fun, honest, and sometimes surprising questions that I know you’re going to LOVE. Jason and I sat down together once again to walk through your most burning questions, and of course, he brought his usual mix of humor and chaos. We cover a wide range of topics, some lighthearted, some deep, and try to share a little wisdom from our own experience along the way. Whether you’re married, dating, or just curious, there’s something in here for you.   Important Links: Save TIME & MONEY by running your biz on a single platform- check out my software, Equipt360, here: https://equipt360.com/ Check out https://jenniferallwood.com/ for anything you need from me!
While I'm away on sabbatical, you're in for a treat, my amazing Director of Operations, Nell Stortz, is taking over! She's sharing powerful insights on the five essential systems your business needs to run on its own.  Let me tell you, getting my business to the point where it runs without me has taken years of hard work and trial and error. It’s not easy, but it IS possible. In this episode, Nell walks you through the key systems that have helped us create a business that runs smoothly without constant oversight. Whether you're just getting started or scaling fast, these insights will help you take a big step toward more freedom and less overwhelm.  Important Links: Save TIME & MONEY by running your biz on a single platform- check out my software, Equipt360, here: https://equipt360.com/
Today I’m talking to the podcast expert herself… Kylee Chandler! She’s spent nearly a decade helping podcast hosts grow their shows, some by over 200% in reach, all while hosting a podcast of her own (which I was just on, by the way!). Basically, she knows her way around podcasting. In this episode, I’m picking her brain to get a better understanding of a field I’ve been in for a long time, but from a fresh, expert perspective. We’re also talking about whether YOU are the right person to start a podcast. Because I know you’ve thought about it... and if so, this is a great episode to get some clarity on that question. Do you know the real cost of entrepreneurship? Do you think that you have what it takes to make it online? How much are you willing to work for freedom? These are all questions I’m tackling in today’s episode. I break down my personal experience with gaining freedom in my time, location, and finances, and trust me, it wasn’t easy. There were struggles, sacrifices, and moments where I questioned if it was all worth it. But through that process, I learned what this journey really demands and what it can ultimately give you in return. Working online isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. But if it is the path you feel called to, I want to give you a real, honest look at what it takes, not just the highlight reel, but the hard work behind the scenes. Hopefully, in today’s episode, you’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of what it really means to pursue freedom through entrepreneurship. This is the final episode in a powerful three-part series I've been walking through with you. Today, we’re pulling it all together, everything we’ve talked about regarding unhealed pain, trauma, and how those deep-rooted experiences may be leaking into your business, your leadership, and the decisions you make every single day. I’m diving into how these patterns can manifest in ways you might not expect, like imposter syndrome, a competitive spirit, or constantly seeking validation from others. We'll also take a deeper look at how the environment you were raised in may still be influencing your behavior, your sense of worth, and the way you show up in your work. This is an important one. So I encourage you to listen closely, take notes if you need to, and reflect on what resonates. This episode is packed full of truth, wisdom, and encouragement to help you recognize and break free from the destructive habits that may be holding you back from the freedom and success you're truly capable of. Hey Jennifer, first I want to say I love listening to your podcast. I can't get enough of it. My question is ... I'm a school teacher, but my husband and I venturied into a Blog last year, hopefully which will eventually replace both our incomes. Both of our most creative times are in the morning. What is your best advice?
